Kimberlie Hoffmann
Kimberlie began her kitchen design career in New Hampshire starting in 1995. She worked for a high-end design firm and had both remodeling and new construction opportunities. She found inspiration from the owner who was her mentor and co-designers who are still her dearest friends. Kimberlie’s work has received 14 Corner Stone Awards over the years and been published in “Signature Kitchens” and “Kitchens by Professionals”. Kimberlie truly found her calling and has never looked back. Two years ago, Kimberlie moved to Citrus County and was able to continue her career with Deems. She is especially grateful to live and work in the town of Inverness. The Deem’s showroom is located in the downtown village where a lot of fun things happen! Although, Kimberlie has lived in the South before, Florida is a different kind of South! She is enjoying what the area has to offer and the new friends she is making.

About the Designer
Robin Hernon
Robin Hernon has been a Designer for Deems Kitchens & Counters for going on 3 years now, and she finally feel as if she has found her niche. That being said, designing is still a bit of a new adventure for her. Prior to this, she was working in the field as a remodeling contractor for a company in Ohio with her husband. Over the course of 5 years, Robin worked alongside him and he taught her the tricks of the trade. They executed the designs she longed to create. When they moved to Florida, Robin took that as an opportunity and a challenge to find somewhere she could learn the other side of the business. She knew how to install, now she wanted to learn to design. Robin couldn’t be more thankful to have landed where she did. In 3 short years, she has designed over 125 kitchens, she has become a 2020 Certified Designer, and a SEN Design Level II graduate.
Kitchen #3: Andriole Family New Construction
Location | Weeki Wachee, FL |
---|---|
Designer | Darlene Marker |
Project Manager | Phil Labarbara |
Cabinetry | BJ Tidwell painted in “Black” and “Bright White”, Door Style: “Shaker II” |
Countertop | Island in Cambria Quartz “Blackbrook”, Perimeter in Pompeii Quartz “Thazos” |
About the Kitchen
The Andriole Family and their builder Pastore Custom Builders came in with a request for a unique black and white kitchen. Half black, half white, draw a VERTICAL line and split the colors! As we fine-tuned the design, it came alive! With the inclusion of a large quartz island countertop with waterfall legs to the floor, the concept began to take shape. “I love the bold contrast of the black and white, gorgeous Cambria Blackbrook countertop, black with white veining on the island. The black range hood to compliment the island and the black side of the kitchen helps to balance the room,” says Designer Darlene Marker. “Our client’s excellent taste in tile splash in the coffee area and the gold toned hardware and metal accents finished this beautiful project.”

About the Designer
Darlene Marker
Darlene Marker’s dream job was to be an architect, with her office in a barn and a horse who could talk. She started her career drafting for a Tampa architect to break into the industry, when they drew everything by hand! Darlene soon transitioned to cabinet drafting and designed residential and commercial projects. She quickly fell in love with the challenge of cabinet design, designing food courts, restaurant millwork, bank counters and other difficult builds. Her claim to fame is designing the millwork for the Tampa Stadium Press Box for Super Bowl XVIII. Please don’t do the math, she states! Darlene later managed a Corian fabrication facility, owned a local, organic farm, but never completely left kitchen design. Many, many years later, now in her second round designing for Deems, she still loves living on Florida’s Nature Coast and loves what she does. Darlene is still looking for that talking horse though.
